I can't believe that I have never written about Greyfest, so now I think that I should. What is Greyfest? Well, if you love Hound, live music, food, drink and browsing stalls then this is for you. Let me go back to the beginning,
We love Greyhounds, socializing and music festivals but there are no dogs at festivals and the hound shows we went to were over in a day. I went to a hound event years ago which was a disappointment and I uttered the infamous words: "Even I could do better than that!"
So, here we are moving towards event number 7 on the 3rd and 4th of August 2024 in a most prestigious venue:
Mount Ephraim Gardens,
Staplestreet Road,
Hernhill, Faversham,
Kent,
ME13 9TX
Doors 10am until 5 or 6pm. Shows start at 11am.
Greyfest 2024 is a fun weekend for Sighthounds but other breeds are welcome.
We have food, stalls, displays, dog shows and of course live music. There is our beautiful Rainbow Bridge that you can take time to remember your lost pets and leave a message on a wooden heart.
Of course there are fun dog shows with lots of Sighthound specific classes but also many for other breeds. So, ALL WELCOME!
And, just because we don't want the fun to end we also have camping, people come on the Friday and stay all weekend!
Tickets can be booked ahead of time here:
Monies raised will be going to Broocie's Fundraising to help dogs in need all over the world.
Stallholders can apply online at this link:
We have 2 rings of shows each day and we celebrate our not so perfect friends with classes such as 'wonky dog', 'golden oldies', 'drama queens and diva dogs' as well as 'black Greyhounds' 'cow dogs' and 'little leg hounds'. There are plenty of fun classes like fancy dress and waggy tail of course.
This year we are introducing 6 Kennel Club style formal show extra classes so there truly is something for everyone.
So I now have lots of rosettes to make so had better get busy! See you at Greyfest?
